The number of foreign tourists coming to West Sumatra through the Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) in April 2019 reached 5,471 people, a 12.04 percent decline compared to foreign tourists in March 2019 which recorded 6,220 people.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in West Sumatra in April 2019 reached an average of 56.22 percent; decreased by 1.12 points compared to the TPK in March 2019 of 57.34 percent.
The number of domestic air transport passengers departing at BIM in April 2019 was 95.94 thousand people, a decrease of 8.81 percent compared to the previous month. The number of foreign / international air transport passengers at BIM in April 2019 was 12.79 thousand people, an increase of 21.80 percent compared to March 2019. Overall, the number of air transport passengers departing with domestic and international flights is as much as 108.73 thousand people, down by 10.56 percent compared to the previous month
