Sumatera Barat’s NTP in March 2019 was recorded at 96.87 or down 0.91 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 97.75 (February 2019). The price index received by farmers (It) decreased by 0.23 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.69 percent.
In March 2019 the NTP of each subsector was recorded at 97.16 for the food crop subsector (NTPP), 79.51 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 101.87 for the smallholder plantation subsector (NTPR), 102.60 for the subsector livestock (NTPT), and 106.72 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture sub-sectors with NTP of 110.74 and 105.74 respectively.
In March 2019 the average grain price of GKP quality at the farm level decreased by 5.13 percent from Rp 5,877.74 per kg (February 2019) to Rp 5,576.14 per kg (March 2019), and at the grinding level experienced a decrease of 5.02 percent from Rp 5,977.40 per kg (February 2019) to Rp 5,677.43 per kg (March 2019).
