NTP Sumatera Barat bulan Agustus 2019 tercatat sebesar 94,46 atau naik 0,93 persen dibanding bulan sebelumnya yang tercatat sebesar 93,59 (Juli 2019).
Pada bulan Agustus 2019 NTP masing-masing subsektor tercatat sebesar 92,64 untuk subsektor tanaman pangan (NTPP), 82,31 untuk subsektor hortikultura (NTPH), 95,93 untuk subsektor tanaman perkebunan rakyat (NTPR), 104,83 untuk subsektor peternakan (NTPT), dan 103,82 untuk subsektor perikanan (NTPN). Subsektor perikanan terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu subsektor perikanan tangkap dan perikanan budidaya dengan NTP masing-masing sebesar 107,40 dan 102,95.
Pada bulan Agustus 2019 rata-rata harga gabah kualitas GKP di tingkat petani mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,21 persen dari Rp 5.304,91 per kg (Juli 2019) menjadi Rp 5.316,21 per kg (Agustus 2019), dan di tingkat penggilingan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,17 persen dari Rp 5.416,50 per kg (Juli 2019) menjadi Rp 5.425,78 per kg (Agustus 2019). Sementara itu, gabah kualitas GKG tidak dapat dibandingkan.
