Sumatera Barat NTP in January 2019 was recorded at 97.10, up 2.03 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 95.16 (December 2018). The price index received by farmers (It) increased by 1.60 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.42 percent.
In January 2019 the NTP of each subsector was recorded at 97.92 for the food crop subsector (NTPP), 82.24 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 100.00 for the smallholder plantation subsector (NTPR), 103.11 for the subsector livestock (NTPT), and 107.23 for the fisheries sub-sector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture sub-sectors with NTP of 109.52 and 106.67 respectively.
In January 2019 the average grain price of GKP quality at the farm level decreased by 4.98 percent from Rp 6,205.69 per kg (December 2018) to Rp 5,887.49 per kg (January 2019), and at the grinding level experienced a decrease of 5.13 percent from Rp 6,308.78 per kg (December 2018) to Rp 5,994.54 per kg (January 2019).
