Kominfo Pariaman City --- Trapped on Angso Duo Island, a number of tourists were successfully evacuated to the mainland. The tourists were previously lodged at Pilau Angso Duo due to bad weather, heavy rain and storms, which occurred from Monday afternoon to evening.
A tourist from Pekanbaru, Roni really appreciated the quick steps taken by Pemko Pariaman when they were trapped on Angso Duo Island. These steps start from lodging on the island to accommodation and food received until safely arrived on shore.
"We feel safe and comfortable, and thank all officers and the Pariaman City government, who have served us well, so we don't feel afraid, instead providing the experience of spending the night on Angso Duo Island," he said.
He said that they came from Pekanbaru by driving a private vehicle, and officers from Pemko Pariaman had secured their vehicle which was parked safely on the edge, his review ended.
"17 tourists and 2 officers who were hospitalized on Angso Duo Island due to yesterday's bad weather, were successfully evacuated this morning, and Alhamdulillah, all 17 tourists are in good health," said the Mayor of Pariaman City, Genius Umar, Tuesday (24/1 )
Genius said that giving visitors a sense of security is included in the sapta charm section (safe, orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly, memorable) which must be present in tourist destinations, he said.
"By realizing a sense of security, memories are also created, and we have done this in response to every tourist who is trapped on Angso Duo Island, starting from consumption, such as dropping food, drinks and medicines, as well as blankets to them, and after until the shore, we also check their health and provide breakfast for them," he said.
Genius further explained that yesterday, he received reports that 17 tourists, consisting of 8 residents of Pekanbaru, and 9 residents around West Sumatra, Padang and Padang Pariaman Regencies, were trapped on Angso Duo Island due to bad weather. so that the tourists spend the night, and also have the approval of the tourists.
"Pemko Pariaman took quick action, by providing excellent service, starting from providing cottages on the island to stay there, as well as fulfilling their needs, and also standing by two officers to serve them," he concluded. (J)
