August 2022: The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in West Sumatra is 6.28 Percent

Abstract

The August 2022 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 6.28 percent, down by 0.24 percentage points compared to August 2021.

The TPAK in August 2022 was 69.30 percent, up 1.58 percentage points compared to August 2021.

The total workforce in August 2022 was 2.87 million people, an increase of 0.11 million people compared to August 2021.

The working population is 2.69 million people, an increase of 106.72 thousand people from August 2021.

The jobs that experienced the largest increase were in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (44.08 thousand people). Meanwhile, the Construction Sector experienced the biggest decline, namely a decrease of 14.24 thousand people
