Abstract

The economy of West Sumatra in the second quarter of 2020 grew -4.91 percent (y-on-y) contracted compared to the same period in the previous year of 5.05 percent.

West Sumatra Province has experienced negative economic growth due to the impact of the Corona Virus (Covid-19) storm.

The West Sumatra economy as measured by the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on the valid price for the second quarter of 2020 amounted to Rp57.91 trillion and at constant 2010 prices of Rp40.70 trillion
