Perekonomian Sumatera Barat yang diukur berdasarkan besaran Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) atas dasar harga berlaku triwulan III-2019 mencapai Rp62,88 triliun dan atas dasar harga konstan 2010 mencapai Rp43,82 triliun.
Ekonomi Sumatera Barat triwulan III-2019 tumbuh 5,16 persen (y-on-y) melambat dibanding periode yang sama pada tahun sebelumnya sebesar 5,24 persen.
Ekonomi Sumatera Barat triwulan III-2019 mengalami pertumbuhan sebesar 2,41 persen (q-to-q).
