West Sumatra's NTP in May 2019 was recorded at 95.32, down 1.56 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 96.83 (April 2019).
The price index received by farmers (It) decreased by 0.38 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 1.20 percent.
In May 2019 the NTP of each subsector was recorded at 93.01 for the food crop subsector (NTPP), 81.18 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTPH), 99.67 for the smallholder plantations subsector (NTPR), 103.15 for the livestock subsector (NTPT), and 105.62 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture sub-sectors with NTP of 109.74 and 104.61 respectively.
In May 2019 the average grain price of GKP quality at the farm level decreased by 4.38 percent from Rp 5,370.10 per kg (April 2019) to Rp 5,135.00 per kg (May 2019), and at the grinding level it decreased 4.30 percent from Rp 5,473.76 per kg (April 2019) to Rp 5,238.48 per kg (May 2019). Meanwhile, MPD quality grain cannot be compared.
