Percentage of Poor People in Sumatera Barat September 2018 Reached 6.55 Percent

Abstraction

• In December 2018, the number of poor people (population with per capita expenditure per month below the Poverty Line) in Sumatera Barat reached 353.24 thousand people (6.55 percent), a decrease of 3.89 thousand people compared to the condition in March 2018 which amounting to 357.13 thousand people (6.65 percent). 
• The percentage of poor people in urban areas in March 2018 was 4.86 percent, up to 4.99 percent in September 2018. While the percentage of poor people in rural areas in March 2018 was 8.07 percent, down to 7.90 percent in September 2018.
