Abstract

· In general, the Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in West Sumatra in quarter III-2018 has decreased compared to quarter II-2018. ITK in the third quarter of 2018 was 95.39 while the second quarter 2018 reached 120.64.
· The decline in ITK value was caused by a decline in the ITK forming variable index, namely household income has now declined from 120.64 to 97.51 while the effect of inflation on total household expenditure declined from 124.12 in Q2 2018 to 94.81 in the third quarter 2018 and variable volume / frequency of consumption fell from 116.87 to 91.07 in the third quarter of 2018.
