The economy of Sumatera Barat Quarter III 2018 grew 5.24 percent

Abstract

The economy of Sumatera Barat is based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of quarter III-2018 prices reaching Rp. 58.77 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reaching Rp. 41.67 trillion.
Sumatera Barat’s economy in quarter III-2018 grew 5.24 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business fields except the Financial Services and Insurance Business Field, with the highest growth of 7.95 percent. Execution from the Export Expenditure by Overseas Export Components was 8.41 percent.
The economy of Sumatera Barat in quarter III-2018 increased by 2.28 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Processing Industry Business Field at 8.17 percent. While in terms of expenditure, it was driven by a significant change in the performance of foreign export expenditures of 20.59 percent.
The economy of Sumatera Barat quarter I-III 2018 (c-to-c) grew 5.01 percent. In terms of production, growth was driven by all fields, especially by the Information and Communication Business Field at 8.48 percent. Meanwhile, from the other side, it was driven by the expenditure component of Non-Profit Institutions serving households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 8.09 percent.
