Abstract
· The area of rice harvest in Sumatera Barat from January to September 2018 amounted to 247.42 thousand hectares. By calculating the potential until December 2018, the harvested area in 2018 is 318.58 thousand hectares.
· Rice production in Sumatera Barat from January to September 2018 amounted to 1,188.69 thousand tons of dry milled rice (GKG). Based on the production potential until December 2018, it is estimated that total rice production in 2018 will be 1,511.54 thousand tons of GKG.
· If rice production is converted into rice using the number of MPD conversion to rice in 2018, then the rice production is equivalent to 870.71 thousand tons of rice.
