Abstract

Inflation in Padang municipality occurred due to an increase in index in 5 (five) expenditure groups, namely: processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.20 percent; clothing group by 0,31 percent; health group by 0.14 percent; education, recreation and sports groups by 0.01 percent; and the transport, communication and financial services group by 0.37 percent.
Inflation rate for calendar year up to April 2018 Padang Municipality and Bukittinggi Municipality are 0.66 percent and 0.93 percent, respectively. Inflation rate year on year (April 2018 to April 2017) Padang City by 2.68 percent and Bukittinggi City by 2.48 percent
